Use of SoMe by hospitals in Austria

For the second time, we have studied the use of Social Media by hospitals in Austria. At the moment, 49 hospitals are on the list. Hospitals in Austria have discovered Youtube (14,3%) and Facebook (12,2%). Twitter is used by one hospital, a big difference with The Netherlands (32,6%) and the United Kingdom (21,3% UK).

 

Use of SoMe of hospitals in Ireland

Now it is time to present the results of Ireland. It appeared that only one of the 48 hospitals used SoMe.

Use of SoMe by hospitals in the UK

This is the third update of the UK. The results are interesting: 21,3% of all hospitals is on Twitter, and the use of LinkedIn increased from zero to 40,6%. The results are in line with the results in The Netherlands.

Use of SoMe by hospitals in Luxembourg

One of the seven hospitals in Luxembourg is using Youtube. The channel has been viewed 2393 times.

Use of SoMe by Belgian hospitals

For the third time, we have studied the use of SoMe by hospitals in Belgium. The preliminary results are interesting: 22 hospitals can be found on LinkedIn and also 22 are on Facebook. One of the 91 hospitals is on Twitter.

Use of SoMe by Dutch hospitals (Part 3)

For almost one-and-a-half years we register the use of Social Media (SoMe) by European hospitals (hospital organizations). Now it is time for the third update. The results are very interesting: More than 50% of the Dutch Hospitals can be found on LinkedIn, and the number of Twitter accounts rose from four to 29! The number of Youtube accounts, Hyves accounts and RSS-feeds doubled.

The main question remains: “How are the different types of SoMe used?” For example: Is Twitter used to bring news or is it used to communicate or collaborate with patients?
